Description
The Tzar Village is one of the world's greatest architectural gems, the former summer residence of Russian
emperors. It was created during two centuries by outstanding masters: Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli,
Charles Cameron, Vasily Stasov.
Catherine Palace, also known as the Great Palace of the Tzar Village, is characterized by an abundance of
decorative sculpture and stucco moulding, architectural diversity and multicolored facades, creating a
festive and elegant exterior of the palace.
During the tour you will also walk around the Catherine Park, which is not only a compositional extension of
the palace, but also represents a world monument of architecture and landscape art of the XVIII century,
which occupies more than 100 hectares.

The Hermitage highlights tour
Description
You will visit the state parade rooms of the Winter Palace, which was the official Russian tzars’ residence for more than 150 years and became the main building of the Hermitage after the revolution of 1917.
The route passes through the small and large throne rooms , field Marshal's and coat of arms halls, then you will come in the later constructed buildings : Small, Old and New Hermitages.
Here you will admire the paintings of great artists: Raphael, Titian, Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt; with your own eyes you will appreciate the skill of great sculptors: Michelangelo, Antonio Canova.
You will also see the famous exhibits of the Hermitage: a 19-ton Kolyvan vase, called the "Queen of vases", and the famous "Peacock" clock.
If you have a special pre-order a sightseeing tour of the Hermitage can be supplemented by a visit to the jewelry galleries: the "Golden room" or the"Diamond room".
The "Golden room" presents almost one and a half thousand gold items from the VII century BC to the present day: combs, bracelets, jewelry for clothing and hats. Here is presented the gold of the Siberian collection of Peter I, found on the territory of Western Siberia at the beginning of the XVIII century.
In the "Diamond room" you will see Church utensils for the Royal family; porcelain and dishes made of rock crystal; watches and jewelry with diamonds; boxes donated to the Imperial families; works of art of the Faberge Imperial factory.
